Severus Snape was always a complex character, with a dark past that haunted him. Born into a poor family, he was bullied and mistreated throughout his childhood. This led him to seek solace in the dark arts, eventually becoming a follower of Voldemort. However, when Voldemort attempted to kill Harry Potter, Snape stepped in to protect him, ultimately becoming a double agent for the Order of the Phoenix.
